Step 1

Set clear limits for swaps before they start.

Define who can swap shifts, how far in advance requests must be received and when quotes should be automatically rejected so you can avoid last-minute gaps and stay in control.

Decide who is eligible for a swap by job title, qualifications or both.
Determine how long in advance an employee can offer a shift.
Add settings for automatic rejection of unmatched swaps just before the start of the shift.

Step 2

Let employees initiate swaps directly from their schedule.

Employees use the Squadra app to select the shifts they want to give away, add a note if required and publish the offer with just a few taps, saving time for everyone involved.

Employees select the shifts they wish to swap from their roster.
You can optionally add a message that provides context or coordination.
The offer is immediately published on the internal marketplace for shifts.

Overlapping appointments are not permitted - only authorized employees see the offer.

The app automatically displays swap offers for employees who are available and, if you wish, also matches the role and qualification requirements for the shift. This way you only receive valid applications without manual filtering.
